The data is maintained in FoxPro, which utilizes unique Rushmore technology in indexing records and affords one of the fastest database engines in its implementation of SQL, importation and exportation of records. The concept is to represent consistent processing procedures and retain an open environment for ad-hoc data manipulation. All software is updated as new and improved technology becomes available thereby maintaining the integrity of the system.

Housefile selects and list rental fulfillments are performed in FoxPro. Housefile selects are performed on any of the criteria maintained in the donor database, omitting any records which should not be mailed (i.e. deceased, do not mail, etc.) and confirming that duplicate records are not selected. The List Rental module is able to select appropriate records, omitting prior usage and any other omits.

DeskTop Mailer’s Postal Soft provides technology for faster mail processing. It meets all USPS mailing regulations to give maximum postage discounts. The CASS certified address-assignment system allows the assigning of addresses to the finest level. It adds ZIP+4 Codes, carrier routes and delivery-point barcodes; prints POSTNET delivery-point barcodes on mail pieces; assigns the line-of-travel (LOT) and LOT order codes to your mailing list; prepares your files for NCOA processing; and creates and prints an ACS keyline.

Double Take II software offers extraordinary merge/purge power processing dBase, ASCII and all ODBC accessed files directly and can merge files with different field structures, while saving time and reducing errors. Up to 512 files can be processed in one run. Double Take II performs suppression, intersection and no-purge processing in a single pass and splits names, address and city/state/zip fields on the fly. Comprehensive information is readily available on output records and counts. “Better results quicker” and “lightening-fast processing” is the evaluation by current users. Double Take II’s matchcode editor gives control and flexibility in finding dupes. Swap matching (John Smith / Smith, John) in multiple fields is easy since matchcodes are run simultaneously.  Portions of fields can be used and compared. Soundex and Phonetex use algorithms to perform matches through sounds. Nickname matching and acronym matching may also be used.

The results - a clean list with no wasted postage on duplications.

Patriot Data Services is able to send and receive data files via e-mail, 9-Track tape, CD-ROM or floppy disk and has broadband access to the Internet.
